Mosaic of Surrender
Written by: Judy Dyck
My hope’s been dashed to pieces;
My dream is torn apart.
And what is left within me is
A bruised and broken heart.
I thought my dream was noble-
But now it’s left to die;
It’s shattered now, and unfulfilled;
And I in tears ask, “Why?”
It hurts-this pain and anguish
Of laying down my will;
Of giving up my hopes and dreams,
The Savior’s to fulfill.
Surrender, oh surrender!
Give in, give up, let go-
It is the only way that I
True peace and joy can know.
I bring my crumbled pieces,
And to Your will resign;
“Oh, can You take them, Lord, and make
Some beautiful design?”
