We made it home after a long couple days. Thursday morning we drove all day and got to the river edge around 5 in the evening, settled in and had supper. In the morning we planned to cross at 7:30 but waited until 9 due to some monks that were in the area. The local people were really suspicious that they were Burmese sp!es since they didn’t look Thai and seemed off. Once they left, we crossed and had a time where the girls sang songs, Natalie and Daniel shared their testimonies and I shared on the condition of the heart from the parable of the sower. We distributed things for the children and brought essentials for the families. We toured a bit of the village and were shown the plot of ground where they hope to build a school. Many children from further in are brought here since it’s safer so they need a better setup. It’s really sad to see how they have to live in fear of the army, while we slept in a bed on the other side of the river, they slept in the jungle because they were afraid the army would bomb them over night. Thanks for your prayers as we seek to be a blessing to the people of this part of the world.
It was exciting for me to see the hearts of the girls and Daniel affected by seeing the needs of these people. I’m blessed to be able to take people from home here.
